make sure と confirm はどちらも「確認する」と訳されることが多いですが、少しニュアンスの違いがあります。
Make Sureには、何かを確実にするために行動するという意味があります。Confirmとは、既存の情報や予想したことが正しいことを確認するという意味です。
Make sureの後にはthat節続くが、confirmの後には名詞またはthat節が続きます。
make sureとconfirmの正しくない使用例と正しい使用例を以下に挙げます。
